Jennifer Hall
Easy maple candied pecans made with maple sugar, coconut sugar, and cinnamon for a sweet, crunchy snack. These homemade candied pecans are oven-roasted with simple ingredients and make the perfect holiday treat or topping.
Preheat the oven to 300°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Mix the dry ingredients. In a medium bowl, combine coconut sugar, maple sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
Whip the egg white. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg white for 1–2 minutes until frothy with soft, runny peaks.
Coat the pecans. Add 3 cups of pecans to the egg white mixture and toss until fully coated. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the pecans and stir well to ensure every pecan is evenly covered.
Bake. Spread the coated pecans evenly onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through to promote even caramelization.
Cool and store. Allow pecans to cool completely before storing. Keep them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 month or in the freezer for 2-3 months.
